Soooo, today was my last day at my job of 10 years. I cried like a crazy woman off and on all day. Seeing my empty desk. Phone calls from well-wishers. Telling my super boss, auf wiedersehen. They say it takes 30 days to break a habit, so he may find me parked in my spot every day. It's like family....I can't quit you. And I think I am PMSing (TMI? maybe.). And my man deploys in less than a month. And I start my new job on Monday. I'm terrified. And my BFF is kinda hurtin' right now. It's a lot to deal with, right? But it's not all doom and gloom. Sometimes you need a jolt!!!

Maybe you need a laugh today, too?

1. I think part of a best friend's job should be to immediately clear your computer history if you die.

2. Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

3. I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when I was younger.

4. There is great need for a sarcasm font.

5. How the heck are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?

6. Was learning cursive really necessary?

7. Map Quest really needs to start their directions on #5. I'm pretty sure I know how to get out of my neighborhood.

8. Obituaries would be a lot more interesting if they told you how the person died.

9. I can't remember the last time I wasn't at least kind of tired.

10. Bad decisions make good stories.

11. You never know when it will strike, but there comes a moment at work when you know that you just aren't going to do anything productive for the rest of the day.

12. Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after Blue Ray? I don't want to have to restart my collection...again.

13. I'm always slightly terrified when I exit out of Word and it asks me if I want to save any changes to my ten-page research paper that I swear I did not make any changes to.

14. "Do not machine wash or tumble dry" means I will never wear this - ever.

15. I hate when I just miss a call by the last ring (Hello? Hello?!), but when I immediately call back, it rings nine times and goes to voice mail. What did you do after I didn't answer? Drop the phone and run away?

Don't worry, there's more...

16. I hate leaving my house confident and looking good and then not seeing anyone of importance the entire day. What a waste.

17. I keep some people's phone numbers in my phone just so I know not to answer when they call.

18. I think the freezer deserves a light as well.

19. I disagree with Kay Jewelers. I would bet on any given Friday or Saturday night more kisses begin with Miller Lite than Kay.

21. Sometimes, I'll watch a movie that I watched when I was younger and suddenly realize I had no idea what the heck was going on when I first saw it.

22. I would rather try to carry 10 plastic grocery bags in each hand than take 2 trips to bring my groceries in.

23. The only time I look forward to a red light is when I'm trying to finish a text. (Don’t tell Oprah!!)

24. I have a hard time deciphering the fine line between boredom and hunger.

25. How many times is it appropriate to say "What?" before you just nod and smile because you still didn't hear or understand a word they said?

26. I love the sense of camaraderie when an entire line of cars team up to prevent a jerk from cutting in at the front. Stay strong, brothers and sisters!

27. Shirts get dirty. Underwear get dirty. Pants? Pants never get dirty, and you can wear them forever.

28. Sometimes I'll look down at my watch 3 consecutive times and still not know what time it is.

29. Even under ideal conditions people have trouble locating their car keys in a pocket, finding their cell phone, and Pinning the Tail on the Donkey - but I'll bet everyone can find and push the snooze button from 3 feet away, in about 1.7 seconds, eyes closed, first time, every time!

30. My check engine light has been on for three months now and nothing's happened. I'm starting to think that my car is just an attention whore.

31. Sometimes I pretend not to remember details about people because having a good memory apparently equates to creepiness.

32. My GPS says "Estimated Arrival Time." I see "Time to Beat."

33. Whenever someone says "I'm not book smart, but I'm street smart", all I hear is "I'm not real smart, but I'm imaginary smart".

34. My keyboard needs a removable crumb tray like my toaster.

35. What would happen if I hired two private investigators to follow each other?

36. I wish it were appropriate to say to a complete stranger, "Excuse me, would you like me to show you how to discipline your child?"

37. I never understood why the Lions and Cowboys always get to play on Thanksgiving. Shouldn't the Patriots play the Redskins, and then steal their stadium afterwards?

38. Double-Stuffed Oreos should just be called Oreos, and regular Oreos should be called Diet Oreos.

I have been working on new card designs this week, which is a welcome change from making the same old things! I recently picked up some paper from Jillibean Soup and I am totally obsessed with it now! Especially with this design!!

I should just buy a whole pack of it and make hundreds of birdhouse cards! The rest of the cabbage stew collection is quite nice, too. I just wish I could find a place that carries each paper in almost every line. That would make life SO much better :)

I love to read! I never get those people who say they hate it. It just makes no sense :) I have been working for much lately, that I long for the day I can read more than one paragraph before I fall asleep at night! I'm looking forward to reading The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo while on vacation. It has been sitting in my stack for a while. I also saw that a 50th anniversary edition of To Kill a Mockingbird is available. It's one of my very favorite books! So many books, so little time! Anyone have a summer reading list??

I cannot believe it's May already!! Cinco de Mayo is just around the corner. Mother's Day is just around the next corner. Today is National Scrapbooking Day. I should have had a party! Scrapbooking is my first love and it's so sad that I cannot even remember the last time I created a layout. Two years? I blame the digital camera. I no longer have the joy of dropping off the role of film and picking it up in a day or two. Now I just dump them on the computer, look at them, maybe post a few on facebook and then close the folder. Any fellow scrappers out there?

Over the weekend I participated in my first indie craft show and I had a great time. A huge thanks to everyone who organized Artropy and to those who stopped by my booth!

The past 6 weeks flew by (with not a lot of sleep, I might add!). That was all the time I had, after joining ShowMe Etsy, to get my ENTIRE booth ready from scratch. Can you say panic? I knew you could. Fortunately, I have worked enough trade shows and scrapbooking events to know I could function on little sleep. Working my booth was smooth sailing!

Here is basically how my booth looked. I continued to rearrange some things all day. Is anyone else looking at this wondering why in the world it took 6 weeks to get ready? It's amazing how organization downsizes your mess. And that poor table cloth. I cannot believe how wrinkly it got in the car! So much for ironing... it's time to try the rolling method.

I certainly have a special spot in my heart for the military. Along with uncles, cousins and friends who have served, my grandpa served in WWII and my main squeeze joined the Army in 2009 at age 37 (they refer to him as grandpa!). I am so proud of all of them!

A great friend sent me a link today to a local-ish news story with a program Valentines for Heroes. It makes my eyes well up. Am I in? Absofreakinlutely! I have just found my newest favorite movie, Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day, starring Frances McDormand and Amy Adams. And I cannot leave out the adorable Lee Pace. It's a delightful film filled with vintagey goodness. It's pleasing to the eyes, as well as the heart. A must see!
